2018 Merlot

Hello Merlot!
This is a surprisingly big-bodied yet delightfully smooth Merlot. The deep crimson hue welcomes scents of cherry plums, black berries and herbal notes. There is an agreeable toffee spine to the palate underneath the red and black fruits, spice and tobacco. It subsides with a gentle, dry oaky finish leaving you wanting for more. A food friendly wine ideally suited to partner pork and vegetarian dishes, as well as creamy cheeses, walnuts, figs, and dark chocolate treats. Will drink well until 2030.
Aged on French Oak for 18 months.
